Corporate Environmental Advisor with over 30 years’ experience in industrial and environmental management, regional business leader and advocate for sustainable development.
A leader in environmental impact assessment and a Certified Environmental Practitioner, Patrice established CQG in 2003 as a professional consultancy to deliver practical, creative and cost effective solutions throughout regional Australia. With a background in agriculture (beef and sugar), qualifications in engineering, science and business and a passion for enabling sustainable development, Patrice and her team are sought out to deliver environmental and development advisory services to a broad range of clients. She is a regular presenter at national and international conferences as an advocate for protecting environmental and cultural values through partnerships with Traditional Owners, researchers and regional communities. Patrice has decades of experience as an appointed board director on State and Commonwealth government boards. She is currently a member of the CQUniversity Council and various regional economic development advisory committees.

Andrew Brown
Principal Engineer, Group Leader
BEng (Hon), Certified Environmental Auditor, MAICD, GAICD
Andrew is an executive engineer with more than 25 years of practical and broad industry experience.
His background has incorporated national senior site roles in mining, heavy industry, sugar refining, sugar milling, meat processing, coal handling, timber processing and solar salt production and refining.
Andrew specialities include industrial and environmental engineering, concept design, feasibility studies, tender preparation, and project, contractor, waste and tenure management. Having worked in both the domestic and international salt industry Andrew is a well respected salt technologist.
He leads CQG’s natural disaster response team which assists Councils throughout Queensland to coordinate waste management and data capture following cyclones and flood events.
Andrew provides practical solutions to clients through innovative, big picture thinking.

Alison Bird
Business Support Unit Manager

Alison has over 12 years’ experience in administration and financial roles working in the private sector.
A quality control and contract management specialist, Alison leads CQG’s business support unit which provides high-level operational, administrative, marketing, safety and human resource management support to our scientists, planners and engineers.
Her experience in contract management reviews, financial management and quality systems ensures our risk profile is professionally managed and our deliverables meet the highest standards expected by government and private clients.
As part of her commitment to develop, implement and manage CQG’s Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE) systems (including ISO 9001, ISO14001 and AS/NZ 4801 certifications), Alison undertakes internal audits, coordination of third party external auditing, management reporting, incident and hazard reporting and risk control. She also chairs the CQG QHSE Committee.
